At Morgan King it’s our mission to match the right person with the right position. At the heart of this is our consultative, “person to person” approach; a promise to take the time to get to know and understand our clients and candidates so that we can find the perfect fit.

We believe that people are the most important part of every business, and yet too often, recruiters rely on technology to do the job and put forward candidates without really getting to know the people or businesses involved. At Morgan King, we do things differently. We believe that understanding the needs and aspirations of our clients and candidates is integral to finding the best person for the job. This approach allows us to match people based on their values and personality, rather than just skills, qualifications and experience, ensuring a much tighter fit between employer and employee.

Based in central Leeds, Morgan King was founded by Yorkshire entrepreneur Martin Penny and Son, Alex and James, a recruitment specialist with more than 25 years’ experience in the industry, particularly within the construction, rail and technical recruitment markets at senior and executive levels.

With our expertise in recruiting for technical positions, we specialise in placing people for what we term ‘grey collar’ roles, those between blue collar and white collar positions.

Ultimately, we aim to be an extension of our client’s HR or management team, working in collaboration with them to improve the quality of their hiring process and to save long-term HR costs.

Corporate Social Responsibility

At Morgan King we take our Corporate Social Responsibility very seriously. That’s why we work with various stakeholders, local authorities and the third sector, helping to get young people into industry through training, apprenticeships and work experience.

We’re currently preparing for one of our You’re Hired civil engineering schemes at the John Smeaton Academy. You’ll be able to read about more this event in our news section in the coming weeks.
