UK Construction On The Up
The end of the first quarter of 2015 has seen significant growth in the UK construction Industry, as the economy continues its recovery. In February, the Markit/CIPS purchasing managers' index (PMI) rose by a point to 60.1, its highest level since October last year.
Housing has been one key area that has been performing well, with a number of leading UK housebuilders posting strong results in recent months. Overall construction accounts for about 6% of the UK economy and the recent upward trend has seen an increase in the number of candidates we’ve been recruiting in this sector.
